• Who you are: your name, email, and date of birth. We need your date of birth to check you are at least 14.
• What you write: your essays, drafts, notes, and your conversations with the coach.
• What the AI notices about your writing — your themes, stories, and interests. We call these Memories, and they are what let the coach remember you between sessions.
• School things you choose to add, like your grade or the schools you are interested in. These are optional.
• Ordinary technical information, like your IP address and which browser you use.

We use it to run the Service and to help you write better: to give you feedback, to remember what you have worked on, to keep your account working, and to keep the Service safe. That is all.

• We do not use your writing to train AI. Your essays are yours. They are not turned into training data for any AI model.
• We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
• We do not hand your information to other companies for their own use. Some companies help us run the Service — they can only do what we tell them to do with it, and the full policy lists every one of them by name.
• The AI does not decide anything important about you. It gives writing feedback. It does not decide whether you get into a school.

Wordmuse runs from the United States, and the AI that reads your writing runs there too. So when you use the Service, what you write is sent to the United States to be processed. We ask you to agree to this separately when you sign up, because it is a real thing you should get to say yes or no to. If you say no, we cannot provide the Service — not as a punishment, but because the AI itself is there.

3 years. After that we delete it. You do not have to wait that long — you can delete your account or ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will.

These are your rights under Korean law, and they are yours directly — you do not need a parent to ask on your behalf, although they may if you would rather.

• See everything we have about you.
• Fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Tell us to stop using it but keep it.
• Change your mind about anything you agreed to.

If you are under 19, your guardian approves your account and pays for the subscription. This is not because Korean privacy law says you are too young to decide about your own information — from 14 you decide that yourself. It is because Korean law treats contracts signed by someone under 19 as cancellable, so the subscription is your guardian’s contract rather than yours. The privacy choices on this page stay yours.
