Our Commitment to Student Safety and Privacy
Wordmuse Labs LLC
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Wordmuse is built for students, and many of the people who use it are minors. Protecting them — and their information — is a first-order commitment, not an afterthought. Here is where we stand.
Who can use Wordmuse
Wordmuse is intended for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if we learn that a user is under 13, we delete their account and data. For users under 18, a parent or legal guardian reviews and accepts our Terms on the student’s behalf before the account is activated.
How we handle student information
- We do not use your work to train AI. Your essays, conversations, and the insights we store as “student memories” are used only to coach you. We do not use them to train, fine-tune, or develop any AI model, and neither do our technology providers.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not serve behavioral advertising to minors.
- We collect the minimum we need, retain it only as long as it is useful to you, and let you delete it. You can wipe your content or delete your account at any time.
- We keep only anonymous, aggregate patterns — statistics across many students that cannot identify any individual — for improving the Service.
Keeping the platform safe
We apply safety guardrails to Wordmuse to help keep the Service safe for younger users, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)’s CyberTipline as required by law. If a student appears to be in crisis, we surface relevant support resources.
To report a safety concern, including anything that may endanger a minor, use our safety report form or email contact@wordmuse.ai.
Compliance
Wordmuse complies with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state privacy laws. Our practices are designed around the principle of acting in the best interests of the young people who use our Service.
Data rights
You can wipe your content or delete your account at any time from your account settings. To request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or ask a question about your rights, contact us at contact@wordmuse.ai.
